This experience is intentionally designed for a specific type of participant. Please read carefully.

This is a great fit if your teen, age 13-19*:

  • Is open to being challenged physically and mentally

  • Is willing to try, even when something feels difficult

This may NOT be the best fit if your teen:

  • Is primarily looking for a relaxing or entertainment-focused experience
  • Strongly resists physical activity or being outside for extended periods
  • Has intense difficulty with authority, group dynamics, or taking direction
  • Becomes easily discouraged and is unwilling to push through challenges

Participants may bring phones, but usage is limited. Youth can carry their own phones but will be asked to keep them out of sight during group competitions, hiking, etc. Youth can expect to have full use of phones for 20 min at the hiking summit and during meals. Great pictures will come home, often from staff taking pictures during events.

Participants will be present, engaged, and disconnected from social media during the experience.

That’s completely normal—and honestly, a good sign.
Growth happens when something feels uncertain. We support participants through that discomfort without removing the challenge.
